A Rhino channel bank offers several solutions for T1 connectivity. Rhino channel banks are feature rich and are specifically designed for ease of use and maintenance.

Every Rhino channel bank will configure itself to the T1 when plugged in and powered up. Also standard with each Rhino Channel bank is a 4 line by 40-character LCD display. This display in conjunction with the four menu buttons can be used to manually configure your channel bank if your installation calls for a more specific needs. I

Every system comes with a fractional V.35 data port (for free) that can be used for the IP router connection. If you have unused DS0 time slots you can use that band width for IP connectivity.

A Rhino channel banks feature a single CSU (for free) that is software controlled, software programmed and will self boot to the proper mode right out of the box.

Now, with our new modular channel bank, you can custom build a Rhino channel bank to your exact specifications. Don’t need a full 24 line channel bank? No problem. Build your channel bank in four channel increments. Need to combine FXS and FXO lines into one channel bank? Again, not a problem. You can mix and match FXS and FXO cards also in four line increments into one Rhino chassis.

 Analog Interfaces

The Rhino channel bank provides either FXS or FXO analog interfaces, both with digital technology that utilizes a dedicated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for monitoring real-time line characteristics.

FXS - The Rhino FXS analog interface provides standard battery and ringing voltages to each of up to 24 loop start analog channels.

Each channel provides:

  • Digital DSP
  • Line current limit from 18ma to 45mA
  • Tx and Rx gain control of -5db to +6db
  • Power down control from 1 to 3 secs.
  • Ring cadence control

FXO - The Rhino FXO analog interface requires a standard POTs analog telephone line up to 24 inputs.

Each channel provides:

  • Digital DSP
  • Tx and Rx gain control of -15db to +12db
  • Ring cadence monitoring timer

FXS/FXO Modules - The Rhino modular channel bank model allows for installation of wither a 4-channel FXS or FXO analog daughtercard. If the four slots are to be used as data, there is no need to instal an analog card.

The modular RHino channel bank can be orded with 4 to 24 channels of either FXS or FXO analog channels installed in increments of four channels up to six modules.

All Rhino channel banks xome in 110VAC, 220VAC or -48VDC models. The internal power supply can easily be swapped.
