DCB DSU-CSU for DDS

The DCB DL-56 and DL-64 are 56/64 Kbps synchronous DSU/CSU for use with DDS digital services

  • 56 or 64Kbps (56 Kbps only unit is available)
  • Both RS-232-D and V.35 interfaces
  • Synchronous (See our DA-56 for an Asynchronous DSU)
  • Point-to-point or multipoint
  • DDS service or line driver mode (line driver not available at 64 Kbps)
  • Responds to Bell defined current reversal loopback and non-latching loopback
  • Front panel loopback switch
  • Exceeds Telco RX attenuation specifications by more than 10 dB
  • DL-64
  • DL-56

56 or 56/64 Kbps DSU/CSU with V.35 and
RS-232-D Interfaces

The DCB DL-56 and DL64 56/64 Kbps synchronous DSU/CSU for use with DDS or equivalent digital services. The DCB DL-56 and DL64 complie with Bell system encoding, decoding, timing, interface and diagnostic standards. They will operate point- to-point or multipoint. The DCB DL-56 and DL64 have a master clock mode that allows it to be used in line driver mode over customer owned cable when operated at 56 Kbps.

The DCB DL-56 and DL64 use the latest line interface technology, which exceeds digital services attenuation specifications by more than 10 dB. This translates into longer cable distances from the phone company central office to the customer premise, or longer customer owned cable runs for line driver applications.

The DCB DL-56 and DL64 are easy to install and operate. The few controls on the unit include the loop-back push button on the front panel, the switch to select line driver or phone company clock, speed switch, and the switch for Request to Send control for multipoint operation. The minimum number of controls and comprehensive indicators make installation and troubleshooting easy. Diagnostic aids built into the DL-56/64 include LED indicators and loop-back capabilities. The V.35 and the RS-232 interfaces are on separate connectors. Both interfaces are active simultaneously. Just plug a cable into the interface you wish to use.

The DL-56 and DL64 are an ideal choice for any application requiring 56 or 64 Kbps digital service, including bridging, multiplexing and multi-drop lines.
