VOICE INTERFACE, E&M SIGNALING

User interface: Two-wire (signal pair, Tip and Ring), or four-wire with two pairs, transmit (Tip and Ring, and receive T1 and R1) supported through RJ-48 (eight-wire) type modular jack E&M signaling types: Type I or Type II, for all registered or "grandfathered" PBX tie trunk interfaces
Input (Transmit) level: 0 dBm (600 ohms) at 1000 Hz produces a 0 dBm0 digital reference signal in two-wire mode. In four-wire mode, the transmit level may be either 0 dBm or -16 dBm, (switch selectable)
Output (Receive) level: a 0 dBm0 received digital reference signal (1000 Hz) produces either 0, -3, -6, -9 dBm (switch selectable) +/- 1 dB output (600 ohms) at Tip and Ring in two-wire mode. In four-wire mode, a 0 dBm0 received level will produce either a -3 dBm or +7 dBm, (switch selectable)

DATA INTERFACE

User interface: RS-232C/RS-530, or V.35, supported through DB-25 connector
Data speeds: 9.6, 14.4, 19.2, 28.8, or 38.4 Kbps for sync or async data. MBA, dynamic bandwidth allocation allows maximum throughput for sync data
    Synchronous data format: Any
Asynchronous data format: 8 Bit, no parity, or 7 Bit with parity (odd or even)
MAXimum Bandwidth Allocation (MBA,): The data channel can be optioned to operate at the maximum available bandwidth based on voice channel use, synchronous only
