 The DAWN 2100 Single Channel Voice Digitizer is a compact, simple to use device which allows for the transmission of one standard voice connection over an RS-232C/D data channel. The model 2100 incorporates high-quality Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (ADPCM) voice digitization and compression, allowing the user the capability of sending and receiving voice over a standard 9.6 Kbps to 19.2 Kbps data connection. 

The DAWN 2100 supports all standard two@ wire types of telephone interfaces. The unit can be connected directly to outside telephone lines, PBX trunk or station ports, key systems, or to standard telephone sets. Programmed by simple DIP-type switches located on the rear panel of the unit, the user can select from 8 Kbps compressed voice (9-6 Kbps data rate), to high-quality 16 Kbps voice (19.2 Kbps data rate).
